Do I need an appointment?
Yes. All pain management procedures are performed by appointment and require a referral from your GP or specialist. Depending on the procedure, recent CT or MRI imaging may also be required.
Simply call our clinic or send through your referral via our appointment request form, and our friendly Booking Team will arrange a convenient appointment and provide any preparation instructions you may need before your visit.
What happens during the procedure?
Your procedure will be performed by one of our experienced Specialist Radiologists using advanced imaging guidance to accurately target the treatment area. Most procedures are completed quickly and are well tolerated. Our team will explain each step of the procedure and ensure you’re as comfortable as possible throughout your visit.
When will I feel relief?
The timing of pain relief varies depending on the procedure and the medication used. If a local anaesthetic is administered, you may notice relief within a few hours. If a steroid injection is used, the full benefit usually develops gradually over several days and may take up to two weeks to reach its maximum effect.
Are there any costs?
Some pain management procedures may incur an out-of-pocket expense. Our Booking Team will discuss any applicable fees with you when your appointment is arranged, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before your visit.
